Currently, when sharing the screen and enabling audio for the shared tab or window, the audio-quality is okay for spoken word. But in cases, where the contents depends on good audio-quality, the compression is too hard, so that even more silent parts of the audio is inaudible or at least hardly to understand. So, is it possible for the future to increase the audio-quality for screenshared contents, or perhaps integrating some kind of hd-setting. With music or video in mind, an opentalk-conference would benefit from such a setting.
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the report and sorry for the late answer.
We verified the issue you described, and the audio quality is indeed very bad
for audio shared from tabs, especially when it plays music. We created a
ticket [0] (sorry, tickets are internal only for the time being, we're working
on that as well). Development is already ongoing in order to address this issue.
Best regards, Wolfgang.
